At the Estonian University of Life Sciences (EMÜ) clinical research is concentrated in the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences. It is the only centre for teaching, research and development in the field of veterinary medicine in Estonia. They have developed infrastructure with various laboratories for veterinary care, food safety and processing. The most outstanding facilities are EMÜ Veterinary Clinic and Märja Dairy Research Farm.

The Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences offers services related to:
1. diagnostics and treatment of animal diseases via the EMÜ Veterinary Clinic;
2. animal genetics and reproduction;
3. Joint Clinical Veterinary Laboratory;
4. feeds and feeding of livestock.
